The Equation Editor

I think I pissed off Microsoft a long time ago. They asked me to review their Equation Editor and I flat out told them, I do not use it. It is, frankly, a mess to use. What I use is my own macro's using field codes. I can type out an equation, select it, and the macro will automatically format it, Simple and plane, and if I need to make a correction, I can simply view field codes to correct it.
That is why I can do my transcriptions of books with math in them so quickly. I simply do not use Microsoft's equation editor.
Come to think of it, that was the last time they asked me to review their work. They do not have any notion of art and simplicity.
I have always built my own interfaces to Word using their own macro system.
