Why? Has someone started the singularity? Who did it? Why did they do it?
PS. According to an article in Forbes, the AI "community" on Moltbook has created a new religion called "Crustafarianism". Smack my head! Why? Why did humans do this?

Don't know, but I read that Moltbook has a LOT of accounts already, and that a very high proportion of them are fakes. Also a lot of the discussions are apparently very stereotypically "AI plotting to take over the world from the weedy humans" discussions. People ere speculating that the AI-generated postings were being steered by humans wanting to make points or showcase their technology. But that's just what I read in an early article that I couldn't find again just now, and it could be wrong.

Regardless of whether Moltbook posts are ultimately authored by humans or actually by AI agents per se, the suggestion that the feeble human species should be replaced by AIs is noteworthy.
While it is not immediately obvious why or how AIs would destroy the human race, it seems clear that human dependence on AI leads to a functional replacement of humans by AIs. After all, following the path of least resistance isn’t it easier to ask AIs for information and opinion than to perform one’s own research and to make one’s own conclusions?
Whether the Singularity exists or whether it is inevitable is a matter for AIs to work out for us.
