Dangers of technology

Technology, like AI, can enable us to fulfill our goals, but if our goals are destructive, technology will only enable us to destroy ourselves. Technology is power, and the more power we have the more guidance we need, but science and technology cannot give such guidance.

Technology

Technology can cure illness
Gives wonders ‘till your life eases
Its power can grant your wishes
You like it because it pleases

Technology is limited
Troubles could get aggravated
New problems might be created
It can leave us devastated

Technology is just a tool
If you make it god, you’re a fool
Without guidance, it’s not so cool
It can drown us all in a pool

Guidance could come from history
Let’s not forget philosophy
Ethics answers our inquiry
On what’s good for humanity

What do you think is good for humanity? How can technology be used for the bad of humanity?

It's maybe a half million years to late to be asking this question. Our species is obligatory technological.

An example of technology is AI. Like any other technology, it should be treated only as a tool, and not more than that. As a mere tool, all AI outputs should be checked and approved by humans, who shall make the final conclusion and decision.

AI

AI can write for me
And read a book for me
But I’ll write by myself
And read the book myself

AI can think for me
Robot can walk for me
But thinking makes me smart
And I’ll walk for my heart

AI cannot make me
Lose my ability
And give up enjoying
The process of doing

AI can pick my dress
This, I want to address
AI can buy a toy
But shopping gives me joy

Robot can cook my pork
I’d like to do the work
Robot can clean my room
I’d like to take the broom

AI cannot make me
Lose my ability
And give up enjoying
The process of doing

How should AT be used in our homes?

Despite what new technology gives
We still have the same old objectives
But if our objectives are crazy
Tech will help us be down and dizzy

Is as final end we want money
That’s shallow, stupid, and silly
The same is so true for convenience
Pleasure and comfort and affluence

With those purposes, technology
Will facilitate our tragedy
But if we just aim for something good
Technology will give us good mood

And what are the good aims, goals, and ends
Mental health, peace of mind, and good friends
Good character, rationality
Enlightenment and morality

Technology, we must always use
To develop wisdom and virtues
And let technology be the way
To achieve sanity every day

Self-referential fallacy: Technology is the product of human behavior.
One does not address any issue by a single particular example, but one addresses the class of which it is a member.

Every member of a class is a member of that class by the definition of the class of which it is a member, Every member of a class is only, then an example of the definition of the class of which it is a member. By the definition of a class, no particular member can be distinguished from any other member, in order to parse a class, one had to have a distinctly different standard by which to accomplish the parsing. This is where the illiterate fail, they then address a member of a class as distinguished from other members of the class, i.e., they are no longer addressing the class of which a member is an example of.

Might want to learn about simple literacy.
This is the foundation of pattern recognition, or what is tested in I.Q. tests. It is also what Plato called the ability to see the one in the many, and the many in the one.
