Is it possible that the Abrahamic God is actually Satan?

I mean, he drowns people, sets plagues upon them, tells them to commit genocide, pulls Abraham's leg about sacrificing his own son just to "test" him. The world is full of misery and strife, especially the area around the "sacred" city of Jerusalem. The "God" of the Bible punishes you and vanquishes you to Hell to burn with Satan and Satan tries to win your favor through tempting bribes but doesn't punish if you don't take them or don't worship him. Satan goes out of his way to try to win your favor. God judges and throws you in Hell if you don't please him.

None of that makes any sense to me. I wonder if the God of the Bible is actually Satan?

Have you seen Michelangelo's Expulsion painting in the Vatican?

I ask many Christians if it depicts a male or female Satan, but never get a reply, even given those female breasts on Satan.

That aside, to an evolving species like us, women are of course the root of all evil.

Christians have just stupidly forgotten why they sing of Adam's sin as a happy fault and necessary to God's plan.

It is if man is to continue evolving and fighting over women.

We seem to forget to thank God for the evil side of the tree of knowledge.

Stupid us.

The supernatural cannot write.

If it could, we would all know it.

Gods can write, says Jesus as he asks us from the Bible, have ye forgotten that ye are Gods?

Have you?

As a matter of curiosity, what point do you believe Jesus was making by quoting, "I said, you are gods" from Psalm 82? Also a minor point, it wasn't "have ye forgotten".

Why would you possibly take any of that literally when it's so much more reasonable to understand it as allegory?

That said, a reasonable case can be made that the "God" of Evangelical Christians is actually Satan. Satan is their master. Explains a lot about their political beliefs, no?

Bibles vary thanks to wording change.

Jesus was reminding the more stupid Jews that, liker Jacob, we are all to fight both for and against God.

Jews follow the Oral Torah and it has Jews putting man above God. Not God above man.

Jesus himself said that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath. We can easily extrapolate from that that he would say the same about religions and Gods.

We created them all for ourselves.

That's an interesting chain of half-truths and non-sequiturs. Brings to mind the methodology often employed by Evangelical Christians in interpreting the Bible: take a verse out of context; create a narrative about it; create a chain like that from other verses et voila, God created in their own image.

Jesus was NOT claiming a literal divinity for Himself or anyone else, much less that "Gods can write". Jesus was NOT saying that man has created "religions and Gods" for themselves. How much interest do you have in hearing a much more reasonable interpretation? BTW, the vast majority of Christians would never believe it: they have an abiding aversion, if not hatred of truth.

Bibles vary thanks to wording change.

My guess is that you've misremembered the verse. While its true that "Bibles vary thanks to wording change", it doesn't seem to be true in this case. See: https://biblehub.com/parallel/john/10-34.htm. NONE of them say what you think it says - there have to be around FIFTY different Bible quoted there. If you have a specific translation that actually says what you think it says, please provide it.

God is everything.

There is only everything, nothing excluded. Infinitely for eternity. Buckle up.

Well we could question where Christian beliefs of Satn come from.

In the Jewish view, the prosecuting angel at the divine court (God is judge). And yes, prayers "protect us from Satan" but maybe in the same prayer protection from a harsh human prosecutor also << whether you are innocent or guilty, you want that >> Consider the friendly chat between God and Satan in Job.

This is why wrong of Christians to criticize "oral Torah" (forgetting how much of THEIRS is equally "oral" as opposed to being in the written text.

NOTE" Jewish beliefs about afterlife vary. ONE VERSION has the soul not remembering the previous life. So punishment standing before God in judgement with Satan telling (you and) the court what evil you had done. The defending angel (usually Michael) would recount good deeds.

Is that your "deflection of choice" for when you have been shown to be mistaken? You can trot that one out, or something similar, without have to admit that you're wrong.
