predators and prey

why is it that some religions portray angelic beings with wings, which are usually predators, as the good guys while portraying beings with horns (usually defensive weapons of prey) as the bad guys?
and why do all of humanity think it's acceptable/good to prey upon acceptable/good beings?
how can you be good if you are harming good?
