Philosophy is worthless...oops sorry ( not sorry )

Philosophy is the product of thought , thought is limited by memory , by knowledge, and our knowledge is a tiny fragment of the whole , therefore what can be acheived by Philosophy is limited, in fact it is so limited that it can only answer the most trivial questions, and in reality that is worthless because those questions don't need an answer, life doesnt need a philosophy to live it fully, living within the bounds of philosophy or idealogy is in fact a limited life .

The deeper questions of life, why we are here, who are we, what is the meaning or purpose of life can never be answered by the limited thinking mind, this isn't another philosophy but a fact when you understand what the thinking mind consists of and its limits.

Is there something beyond thought ?

Yes there is, it is directly observing, or not thinking awareness, choiceless awareness or living wholly in reality. When we don't think we exist 100% in reality , when we think we see reality through a filter of thought, which isn't reality at all , reality has no limitations, but thought is limited.

Sorry, philosophy is worthless, I can never find the deeper answers to life, it can only answer the questions it itself generates.

When this is understood then though has its right place as a functional tool in everyday life, but what about the rest of the time? Well , the time you are aware but not thinking is existing with no filter of thought, which means existing in reality itself . There are no questions in reality itself , all things are just as they are.

Maybe philosophy's value isn't in providing ultimate answers, but in helping us see how our thinking works and where it breaks down. Even your idea of "choiceless awareness" is something people might reach through deep reflection — which, ironically, is kind of philosophical in itself. I get your view that pure awareness is beyond thought, but perhaps philosophy still has a role as a bridge to that understanding, rather than being completely worthless.

Thanks for the philosophical stance.

It’s true, philosophy is worthless.

It’s just noise heard as knowledge, a human useful tool. It cannot be used if it’s useless.
It’s just a mental masturbation that the true self ..aka ( VOID ) uses to distract itself from the nothingness that it is.

This is a very good post actually. Well written. Thanks for sharing it.

I’d just like to add some ideas from the transcendental nondual community….that I personally found very interesting in an integrated sort of understanding oasis to the dual nature of consciousness appearing to itself as thoughts.

“Solipsism views conscious experience as the only reality, which is true from one perspective. However, existence is both individual and collective. Each person's consciousness is part of the whole and contains the whole. This dual nature means that solipsism is only one side of the truth. True understanding requires recognizing both the individual and collective perspectives, acknowledging interconnectedness and the completeness of existence. The idea of Indra’s net, where each jewel reflects all other jewels, symbolizes this interconnectedness. Solipsism leaves out the other side, but recognizing both perspectives provides a more complete picture of existence.”

You will protect your egotistical identity of "non-dualism" at any cost failing to see that the distinction of non-dualism is the identity you grasp on.

Isn't the above answer, "yes there is" ultimately a product of thought, limited by memory, by knowledge and by the human condition?
There is no way, whatever there is, i.e. reality, can be absolutely independent of the human conditions and thoughts.

Philosophy is merely a tool to understand reality from kindergarten to Phd. level.
Applying philosophy at the PhD level one can understand 'to insist there is a reality that is absolutely independent of thoughts and human condition' is being delusional.

When you say worthless, do you mean functionally, as a utility? If you do, I could not disagree more. Philosophy has been an excellent experience for me. I started engaging in it approximately fifteen years ago. It has primarily opened my mind and allowed me to have a much better understanding of the different facets of life and to apply that understanding. So, if you're claiming that philosophy is worthless as a utility, I have to disagree. It facilitates the capacity to examine things deeply and enriches my (and I'm sure others) thought life. With all due respect, maybe the reason you find it worthless is due to how you are applying it?
