A Neurodynamic Hypothesis from a Dynamic “Self-Model”

Inspired by empirical insights from Theravada Buddhist meditation, we develop a dynamic “Self-Model”: the self is merely an illusion emerging from the rapid alternation between “awareness” and “awareness-of-awareness”.

Although empirically validating any model of consciousness would confront immense challenges and uncertainties, this model suggests a preliminary and falsifiable neurodynamic hypothesis as a bridge to future research: a unique “anti-phase” theta-gamma coupling, where sensory gamma activity (A) and prefrontal gamma activity (AoA) are driven by opposite phases of the same theta rhythm.

I need some background or prerequisite expectations for your reader here.

Just looking at the start of your paper, you say,
Neurodynamic Hyp wrote: If we regard each “aggregate” as an “awareness” which is the state of being conscious
of something, then contemplating the five aggregates would reveal a subsequent
“awareness-of-awareness” that arises immediately after each aggregate, which cannot
be detected under ordinary conditions.
What did you just say here? Define, neurodynamic, Self-model, and aggregate. An 'aggragate' is some collection of something which seems to merely act as an arbitrary replacement by how you use it. You have FIVE of these and no explanation.

So please define these and then explain what your whole title can be appropriately translated as saying for the lay person. If I'm under-qualified to follow, list what I (or others) may need before trying to make sense of this.

Thanks.
