I'd rather watch 90 minutes of Pornhub.

"It depends upon what the meaning of the word "is" is" - Jordan Peterson.

It's so annoying when he pretends he doesn't know what basic words mean lmao. I'm sure he thinks it's super deep, but it really comes across as dishonest avoidance.

It doesn't come across as Pragmatics 101? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pragmatics

Since JP is being pedagogical basically 100% of the time you are quite slow on catching that words don't mean anything to aanyone who sees "meaning" as a verb.

Humans mean. Using words.
Words lack the agency to mean anything.

You know that things are REALLY bad when he's what passes as an 'intellectual' these days.
It's hard to know what he thinks because he's always sobbing.

He's what dumb people think smart people sound like.

Does anyone on YouTube have debates with agnostics over religion? I think maybe no one cares about us. :(

To paraphrase Maia, that would be like 'debating with a jellyfish'.

I take it "jellyfish" aren't interesting to discuss things with? :D

What would there be to 'debate'? The fact that you don't have an opinion either way? A debate with you would be like watching a tennis match. Heads swivelling from side to side as you change your mind between points made on either side. You would agree with whoever was making a point at any given time. How tedious and annoying that would be. It's bad enough seeing it on here.

''I don't like the word 'atheist' because it implies that there's a God to not believe in.''

--Eric Idle.

One of the cleverest and funniest quotes I've ever heard.

Tennis was my favorite sport when I was in shape to play. Seems like fun to me.

When I played it, I enjoyed watching it too, just to get pointers on how to improve my own game. I don't like sitting around in a philosophy forum and just agreeing with everything all by myself. I'd rather see people defend their points against people who are opposed to them instead of just debating with me. It's the best way I know of to learn.
