Why is Trump withholding the list of Epstein’s clients after he made such big thing of his intention to release it? Who is he shielding from justice?

The American DOJ is now saying the list does not exist. Trump himself has called it a democrat hoax. Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted, almost certainly bang to rights, largely on the evidence of the list, is now saying she has the list, but if the POTUS says it doesn't exist, then she has a right to a retrial. She's been inside for a while, so perhaps isn't aware of the shitshow that is human rights in Trump's USA, but still says she will release the allegedly hoax list if she doesn't get a deal. Meanwhile even some MAGA diehards are demanding that the list be released.

Maxwell was convicted on the basis of victim testimony and many of those victims say she was one of their sexual assailants, not just some secretary tasked with booking the rapes into everybody's calendars. Remember that when she gets her pardon.

My money remains on this being used as a lever to oust Trump in 2027, albeit subject to many caveats... one being that Trump hasn't gone full fruit-basket bananas or just died already before then. Other than that, if Trump becomes too poisonously unpopular and the mid-terms are unsalvageable for the GOP, that could be another reason to get rid of him sooner if they think Vance can turn it around somehow - which I don't see at all. Finally, if he looks likely to oust Vance and replace him with Rubio or some other spinless weasel, that would force Theil and Musk to act sooner.

Their boy is Vance, Theil and Musk don't care for an idiot like Trump. He is a delivery method for President JDV, and the hundreds of millions they both spent on getting Trump elected are an investment that needs a payoff. But if they wait till Jan 2027, their guy could serve 10 years, assuming two re-election victories. If they sack Trump off before the midway point of his presidency, their boy would max out at 7 years on the basis of the remainder of this presidency and the one re-election he is allowed *

I assume they have means to oust Trump, and I doubt that it was an accident that Vance threw this scandal into the mix with one of his tweets. Nor is it an accident that suddenly there is this little drip drip drip of reminders about the whole thing coming from all the plutocrats, or more specifically the news sources they own.

* this is untested in the courts. The Supreme Court could interpret the laws such that Vance is allowed two elections anyway, but why gamble like that?

He must have provided the FBI with a massive dossier of information about who all those dirty old men were and what they got up to. Luckily that will all be in theEpstein files so he can release that info to clear his own good name and to finish the job he started when he did all that crime fighting.
