Indonesia will not do it.
Indonesian consumers and merchants prefer payments by QRCode. The market has decided.
The Indonesian government will simply out stubborn Trump in naysaying. Just like China, Indonesia prefers to cancel all trade with the USA than to budge an inch. Brasil and the EU will not budge either. They will not negotiate with a bully.
There will be no more local card payments, no more Visa and no more Mastercard. We are getting closer and closer to the final confrontation.
