It's used as a philosophical tool to highlight the limitations of proof in certain arguments. If one can accept that the world could have been created last Thursday with the appearance of age, it questions how confidently we can claim to know the true history of the universe.

What they want to do is tell you you can't figure it out because they can't. The energy is no you can't and I'm gonna stop you. But this is to be expected. Awakening is not a simple thing and there are many traps and hang ups on the path.
The can’t is the block. In not knowing, everything is known. When one thing is known, everything is known.
