Have you ever read Confucius's Rectification of Names passage?
The Correct Use of Grammar
Tsze-lu said, "The ruler of Wei has been waiting for you, in order with you to administer the government. What will you consider the first thing to be done?"
The Master replied, "What is necessary is to rectify names."
"So! indeed!" said Tsze-lu. "You are wide of the mark! Why must there be such rectification?"
The Master said, "How uncultivated you are, Yu! A superior man, in regard to what he does not know, shows a cautious reserve.
"If names be not correct, language is not in accordance with the truth of things. If language be not in accordance with the truth of things, affairs cannot be carried on to success.
"When affairs cannot be carried on to success, proprieties and music do not flourish. When proprieties and music do not flourish, punishments will not be properly awarded. When punishments are not properly awarded, the people do not know how to move hand or foot.
"Therefore a superior man considers it necessary that the names he uses may be spoken appropriately, and also that what he speaks may be carried out appropriately. What the superior man requires is just that in his words there may be nothing incorrect." Analects of Confucius.
He said exactly what the whole of the Bible does, What the whole of Plato's dialogs do. What the entire environment is telling you. Since many people that comment here, believing that their fine display of pasteing words together is important, let me explain the above,
Words are a tool, and like any tool, has no meaning. It is what you mean when you use the tool. This idea you will find in all the works I mentioned above.
A mind, you, are wholly responsible for your behavior.
Language is Universal and Intelligible. With it, provided you have the intelligence, you form a Grammar Matrix.
You use grammar to manage you own behavior, if you cannot use grammar correctly, you cannot manage your behavior correctly. If you cannot manage your behavior correctly, you are not only a danger to yourself, but to the entire environment.
If you cannot use grammar correctly it is because of 2 and only 2 reasons. You are too stupid to learn, i.e. you cannot turn the intelligible into the perceptible, or you have not found a teacher who can teach you.
That is why there is Geometry. by it you can learn, as cited in the Bible in metaphor, or outright by Plato, by your own hand, your own effort.
So, declaring to the world that you are an idiot and damned proud of it, is offensive. It is sociopathic. It is schizophrenic. Nevertheless, it all amounts to that you are an illiterate fool, and you choose to be so.
You can never hide what you are because by biological fact, your ability to think, is displayed in your every behavior.
Simple fact.
Or as a wise wrote said, There is no hiding place down here.
The aim of Religion, is judgement. so that you learn correct behavior to the limit of your ability. You cannot make words have any other purpose no matter what you call any set of them. You cannot, as if you have magic, claim that one set of words mean this or that, when it is you who either can or cannot use them correctly. Every thing a mind does is for the modification of behavior for life.
Our job, biologically defined, is behavioral management. If you constantly display a lack of any regard to doing your own work, you ae stupid, egocentric, and I will use HAZMAT..
