Humanity's Infancy

Assuming, official history is roughly true, you could say humanity is in its infancy.
As a species, we've only been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and as a civilization, for only thousands.
This is a mere blip when compared with the history of life on earth.
So I think it's foolish to think, we've got it all figured out, we probably have a lot of growing to do, and in many cases in ways we can't even begin to imagine now.
So I think we should be very skeptical about our current trajectory as a civilization and a species, we may have much of it all wrong.
Could pre-civilization humans imagine civilization?
That's where I think we may be now, we may not even be able to begin to imagine the kinds of transformations we may make in the future.
That being said, I think we should approach future transformations with caution.
