So what do you think? Has Trump sold out to Bezos, Musk and Zuckerman et al.? I recall IC being very critical of corporate socialism but feeling that Trump was being treated unfairly and yet here we are with Trump backed by some of the richest men in the world?

So did Trump sell out of innocent ignorance not realizing what he was doing, or was Trump up to this the whole time?

Yes, Trump II: The Revengenation is an expanded sequel with far better monetisation than the first go round. In his first stint Trump did take a 10 million dollar bribe from Egypt but that went to the campaign and was spent, so that's dead money really. Beyond that he spent most of his time thinking like a property developer and hotelier, so Trump's own grifting amounted to having the government pay to put up Secret Service agents at his golf courses, and the widely understood rule that foreign governments who wanted to get concessions should make sure their embassy booked as many rooms as possible at the Old Post Office.

He must have realised how small that beer was compared to the true prizes on offer when his son in law traded a list of democracy reformist CIA informants in Saudi Arabia in return for the Saudis re-opening the land corridor to Qatar, after which the Qataris invested billions into his completely inexperienced Private Equity fund. That made the pay off a matter of 7% management fee, 7% equity share and 7% profit share, tax free due to carried interst. And the CIA only lost 20 or so human sources and perhaps a little credibility.

But now, Trump has realised he can do this stuff out in the open pretty easily. The simplest way is to run an extortion racket right out in the open. He has completely no chance of actually winning a legal fight against Meta to complain about them suspending his Facebook and Instagram his account, but they have no motive to annoy him by winning, so they settle for 25 million dollars straight into his pocket, to go with million or two they spent to sponsor his inauguration party.

Bezos meanwhile has presumably funded Trump's next divorce by paying a completely absurd 40 million dollars to buy the rights to a Melania Trump documentary series.

There's no point even starting with the ways in which Trump is beholden to Musk, that's going to end badly. Likewise Vance is also a property of the PayPal Mafia and was for a long time.

If you are a foreign nation needing to send Trump a bribe, there are two primary options. One is his new shitcoin, currently trading for about $20 with little activity from a high a couple of weeks ago of $75. If a foreign government needs to buy their way out of an exhausting trade war or oil embargo, they would need a means to funnel a large enough payoff anonymously... to do so, simply buy $TRUMP coins, enough of them push the value up by 10 or 20 dollars after which the FOMO will do the rest and the market will see to it that Trump can safely cash out a billion or so from it without tanking the thing.

It's a shame the black lady had an annoying laugh so nobody could vote for her.

Bit late for that, Musk just wandered into USAID and said that Trump agrees it should be shut down - again, no sign of any actual authority to do so, just a nod and a wink for the blind horse. So America is out of the landmine clearance and famine relief games now. You'll probably restore funding for 3rd world clinics that deny women contraception and abortion services though.
