The Chinese released an AI that has stunned and surprised Western Civilization and Silicon Valley...the new Trump Administration and their ideals about building AI.

This new AI is supposedly faster, more efficient, accessible, and free! So this has dumped a bucket of cold water on Western Tech R&D.

What are your impressions?


For me, American and general Western DEI, has essentially shot Western Civilization in both feet. I agree with Nick F's assessment here...it's not good. This isn't the 1950's White Anglo WASP America anymore. USA is about to suffer (we already are) a huge 'Competency Crisis' as blowback from these liberal, Far-Leftist DEI policies the last 30 years.

In short, American DEI has reduced-reduced-reduced the Educational Standards of American children, teenagers, pupils, and anybody seeking Education. It has lowered these standards, so that 'colored people' (BIPOCs) can pass classes and enter esteemed colleges and universities instead of qualified, young white males. This DEI propulsion, of essentially and deeply unqualified pupils, is now about to exasperate.

So, because this isn't the 1950s, and America has generally 'sold-out' the general Educational Quality of our recent generations... this is very likely, probably, a fight we won't win. Not until a complete 180-reversal is enforced (through much pain) in American schools and universities.

Don't worry about it, it seems, we in Europe shot ourselves in the foot with the Green Deal

Arguably, USA had the strongest and most willed men, creativity, intelligence, integrity, and leadership, upon the victory of WWII. That great Victory, however, led to Liberalization of the West. That meant, and still means, an exchange of prosperity for 'good times', partying, lowering moral standards, looser sex, less discipline, etc. This has been most visible in the Clothing & Fashion fads, from the 1950s to now, decade to decade. Americans used to present themselves very conservatively, traditionally, and had a high social status aside social appearances.

That has all but faded away...the newer generation, "Gen Alpha", can't even imagine or fathom those distant times. Obesity and Ugliness has been normalized, in the United States.

So while Moral Standards slackened, and have become depraved (Transexual surgeries, castration of Western boys, castration of Western Manhood, "Toxic Masculinity", Anti-White Hatred, etc), USA is now facing a 'Competency Crisis'.


As with the Headline of this thread...this problem has come to a head, internationally.

The world is watching.

It is not a big issue for humanity nor even the USA.
The only problem is for investors and that is very typical where shares often take big hits everywhere due to sudden changes, especially with the inherent nature of AI and IT.
The problem was due to overconfidence and arrogance.

It is said that DeepSeek emergence is like they introduction IBM's personal pc that broke the monopoly of the mainframes and large computers; now with open-access everyone can have their own AI system at home in the PC.

I thought DeepSeek is from China so it would be so restrictive on discussion on the Religion of Peace. In the beginning it so appear to be that and I gained a lot and it seem to be very open about it.
But after 50 pages [Words] of discussion, while typing out its responses which I thought 'WOW', towards the greater truth and exposure of the inherent evil within the religion, it suddenly give this message:

DeepSeek: "Sorry, that's beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else."

I have to exclaim ... DeepShit!

But I did benefit a lot from what was discussed until the above stoppage.

I am optimistic that soon anyone can access to AI [there is a trend of it proliferation at present] on their phone that one can easily discuss contentious issues from different perspectives [well aware of AI limitations] to make better judgment rather than being brainwashed like the present.
Note the emergence of cheap AI like DeepSeek and Gwen 2.5 plus many coming up. These are not like those where you log in to chat but these are the whole program one can download, install and activate in one's own computer thus personal.

If is possible if a Totalitarian government have sufficient control over their citizens [like North Korea which are a rare minority], but times are changing as compared to say 50 or 100 years ago.
It would be so glaring if anyone were to install an authoritarian AI, users will ignore it unless forced to.

I believe we have an inherent progressive moral function where the average person is getting more active to sense with disgust, murder is an abominable act.

It is not a big issue for humanity nor even the USA.

BUT 'murder' IS ACCEPTABLE, well in the 'cult/ure' you WORSHIP anyway.

And, this is not by just going on how MANY of the citizens of that country are PUT TO DEATH, but also by the numbers of 'murders' that occur in that country.

Well quite a few of you, here, in this philosophy forum, like to talk about the PERSPECTIVES of 'artificial intelligence', and how 'this', in itself, DECIDES what is true, and/or right, in Life.
