I first joined this forum in 2011, and there was some sexism back then, but it seems to be much more blatant now.

Is this the case, and if so, whats with that?

Report him if he's being really bad. The mods are a bit more active these days. They might set him straight.

I put that freak on ignore ages ago. Mosty the sexism is more subtle. Males on here (which is most of the posters) just ignore everything a female posts unless it consists of simpering nothingness and it's from someone they imagine they might fancy (eg has an obviously female name and presence).
In other words, a bunch of bog-standard, mean-spirited jerks who think they know everything. When one comes along who isn't, it's like a breath of fresh air. I can't think of any like that who are around at the moment.

Godelian is an outlier, he views all interactions with other people as purely transactional status games. He also appears to be entirely unburdened by empathy, sympathy, remorse or shame. His sexism is just an offshoot of his psychopathy.

The gender sub was awful before he came along though but only in the way it always had been. We should count ourselves lucky, if this place had a racial theory sub it would get wildly fucking offensive.

Sites cannot be so-called 'sexist'. Only people can be 'sexist'.

And, if people here, in this forum, are really being 'sexist' or not, then this will all depend on how the 'sexist' word is being defined.

In the past decade sexism has become much more blatant in society at large. Led by Donald Trump and others of his ilk.

What's more, in the past decade or so: racism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, etc. have all also become much more blatant in society at large. In short, all forms of bigotry have become much more blatant. Taking it up another level of abstraction, all forms of irrational fear/hatred have become more blatant. It's the foundation of the demagoguery employed by Trump and others of his ilk.

Perhaps the most disturbing thing about this is how many "Christians" are okay with it, if not all for it.

I am indeed 100% transactional.

You get from me what you want, if I get from you what I want.

Transactionalism is the core foundation of all trade and business. It is also the basis of labor employment. In fact, it is the basis of all contractual arrangements.

I am indeed also 100% transactional in intergender relationships.

You won't keep getting from me what you want, if I don't keep getting from you what I want.

Why exactly would transactionalism be sexist? Where do I unduly discriminate based on gender? Seriously, I am as transactional with men as with women.

Everybody -- no exceptions -- must justify what they are getting from me by showing what exactly I am getting from them in return.
