DEI attacks on politicians...

One of the attacks that the right wing uses on Harris,
is the DEI attacks... in other words, she was only
''hired'' because of DEI... diversity, equity, and inclusion....
and for no other reasons....which got me to thinking about
what it says about conservatives.....
The standard bullshit line from the right is that they are
about leadership from Meritocracy.... in other words,
government or the basis of holding of power, the people selected
is based on their ability, their talent....
that is part of the conservative claim... which feeds into their DEI
attacks on Harris....a DEI hire, by their own definition cannot
be competent, have ability or any talent.... which is a backhanded,
ok, not that backhanded, but a statement that IQ45 is not a DEI
hire, thus he has ability or talent, which is why he is the GOP/MAGA candidate....
and this got me to thinking... how do we work out this problem?
I thought back to the presidential candidates of both parties since
1980....which party put forward the candidate that actually had
ability or talent?
I pick 1980 because it was the first presidential race I could vote in...
which candidate has had talent or ability? the Dems or the GOP?
1980: Jimmy Carter vs Ronald Raygun...
Carter was working on Subs as a nuclear technician....
and Raygun, a bad actor.... I think I know who has the talent,
ability in this matchup...
1984: Raygun vs Walter Mondale... look up Mondale,
and one can clearly see Mondale had far more ability and talent
than Raygun....
1988: George Bush Sr. vs Dukakas...
I'll call that one a toss up....
1992: Bush Sr. vs Bill Clinton.....
No one has ever, ever doubted Clinton's talent or ability...
No one.... easy win for Clinton....
1996: Clinton vs Bob Dole.... Dole outworked people, but
he was never the most talented person in the room...
Again, an easy Clinton win....
2000: Gore vs Bush lite... Outside of coming from money, bush lite
had no talent or skills of any kind... if you take away knowledge
of his background and looked at his skill set, I doubt he could
be hired as a security guard.... Being an addict and all...
Gore had years of government work behind him before this race....
another win for talent and ability, Democratic style...
2004: Bush lite vs Kerry.... Kerry had far more talent and ability
then the entire Bush line put together....
2008: Obama vs John McCain..... read McCain history and one can
see that he was a military fuck up.... outside of his years as a POW
prisoner, he had no great military skills or talent.... and he quit the
military 5 minutes after his dad died.... we can see what that means...
2012: Obama vs Romney.... Romney had more talent and ability than
most GOP candidates... but his legacy was coming from
a very prominent political family.... he didn't work his way up
by talent or ability as Clinton or Obama did...
2016: IQ45 vs Hillary..... again, a decided victory for the dems....
or do you think that IQ45 6 bankruptcies are actually talent or ability
at work....enough said...
2020: once again, Biden had worked his way from being a young
politician to being Vice-President.... 50 years of government work..
IQ45 is now considered to be one of the 5 worse presidents in American
history..... Biden will be in the top 10 when all is said and done....
and today, we have, once again, IQ45 vs Harris.... a DEI hire?
nah, she is someone who has run bureaucracies, local and state
Attorney General offices... and in California, the State AG'S office is a
multi-billion dollar office......
In virtually every single presidential race since 1980, the Democrats
have put up the candidate with the most talent and ability....
with candidates like Biden, Obama, Clinton, Harris coming from
modest backgrounds, at best... With Romney, Bush lite,
and IQ45 coming from very wealthy backgrounds... they never
had to work for a minute in their lives...
remind me again, which party is the real party of meritocracy?
