I thought of this joke today.

Did you hear the one about the Kosher Diamond merchants who had a fight over a couple of diamonds...?

It was a Dual Jew Duel over dual Jewels!!

Apparently it is objectively antisemitic. So I had to take it down.

Apparently jews as gem dealer is a stereotype.

But there is nothing wrong with gem dealing, so it isn't a negative stereotype, I wouldn't have thought. Is being stereotyped as a gem dealer particularly painful?

Actually the real joke isn't the stereotype of the Jewish gem dealer, it's your comment on Jews playing the victim card for things that don't deserve it. Good one.

Well someone did, though you're right we don't know the background of whomever it was. Though at this point it is a common Western experience that it will be played by someone.

But you never said, nor even implied, (as far as I can so far tell) that ALL human beings that go by the name, label, and group "jew" or "jewish" are ALL 'gem nor jewel dealers'. Nor did you say that ALL "diamond merchants" were "jewish" neither, again as far as I can tell from here.

If what you wrote here was what you actually said and wrote, then you just expressed that implied that the "diamond merchants" who ate food, which was 'fit', or 'proper', for that group of human beings who go under the label and name "jewish people" had a fight over a just couple of rocks, which are also known as 'diamonds'.

I do NOT see 'you' 'stereotyping' any 'thing' further here, FROM the ALREADY 'stereotyped' name, which has ALREADY been given to but just ANOTHER 'group', or ANOTHER 'type' of 'human beings'.

Which 'you', adult human beings, have been doing for countless centuries 'now', ALREADY, anyway.

Just out of curiosity, would saying, 'east end accent', be seen as 'stereotyping', by some of 'you', human beings, in the days when this is being written?

By the way I would also say that 'your joke' would not 'split the sides', as some might say. But I would say it is a little bit more than just 'mildly amusing'.
