Why do people accept additional, unnecessary levels of governance not mamdated by law, with no obvious benefits? A prostitute doesn't need a pimp, they grow up in society that mocks pimps, yet once they get into the trade, pimps happen. Why? Use the money to get away and restart your business pimp free. It is a unnecessary level of governance, purely parasitic.

If you use your resources to put up a sign on your property: not parasitism.

If you take another's resources (when they prefer not to give them) to construct or buy a sign to install on property that isn't yours (public lands don't exist): parasitism, theft (that's government)

Is there a DIFFERENCE between 'governance' FOR 'protection', and, 'governance' FOR 'money'? Is one so-called 'parasitic' and the other NOT?

Do ALL children NEED 'protection' and 'guidance', and thus some form of 'governance'?

Do SOME adults STILL NEED some form of 'protection' and 'guidance', and thus some form of 'governance'?

But, does ANY one NEED 'governance' OVER 'them' where the 'governing party' is making money OFF the former one?

Are some forms of 'governance' so-called 'parasitic' while others forms NOT?

ALL land IS PUBLIC. ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS IS, and ALWAYS WILL BE. Although contrary to the popular BELIEF, in the days when this was being written.

Pimps may come first, especially for trafficked people. The pimps also patrol and then use threats and violence. But they can also use kindness and implicit threats, given the shit many people who turn to prostititution have already experienced. Why do any of us put up with nasty employers, boring jobs, threats from people with more power (corporate, raw street muscle, law enforcement, landlords, governmental agencies and so on, legal and illegal both). If you put up with any kind of shit for pragmatic reasons, then you can use this for insight into why prostitutes might.

Unclaimed lands (sumthin' there's little of nowadays) belong to no one. Public lands are those controlled by a government, ostensibly on behalf of the owners, citizens. The reality: taxpayers pay for the maintenance of these public lands (whether they want to or not) and the elected/appointed few call all the shots on how these lands are used. In effect: government owns public lands. So, public lands aren't really public at all.

LOL AND even 'the land', which 'you' LAUGHABLY CLAIMS is 'your land' the government MAKES 'you' PAY for it as well as TELLS 'you' what 'you' CAN and CAN NOT DO on 'that land'. Which is OBVIOUSLY NOT 'your land' AT ALL. Although contrary to the BELIEF of one here.
