He may be right, of course. But human goals, and human interations, are far more complex than those entailed in the mere production of honey; and I would imagine that any alien civilisation sufficently advanced to travel here would be intelligent enough to make allowances for that.

I suppose we could always offer the visitor from another world a jar of Nutella.

^^^ in my twenties I played drums in a band and this one time we were playing at a party. Well after we played our little set and we're just fuckin around smokin pot and hanging out, the guitarist started playing the Symphony of Destruction riff. So me and the bassist fell in and then this unknown dude grabbed the mic. He goes:
