There are different worldviews, religious, for example, Christian, Islamic, Jewish, philosophical, for example Aristotelian.
The question is how to determine which worldview is truer?

Start with the basics then. What do you know at all?
"I think therefore I am" is a generally agreed upon place to start, though I'm sure you can find some people to disagree even with that.
Where do you go from there? What else can you know, or be reasonably sure of, at the start of it all?

Good place to start, highly commendable. The next part is coming up with a strategy - if you wanted to know something, anything at all, how would you start?
Suppose you know nothing, but two people come up to you and they say "I know something", but the thing each one of them says contradicts the other one. Could you devise any strategy for finding out which one, if any, is more likely to be correct?

Idiot-philosophers are confused by encapsulation and self-reference. Content vs structure.
The statement "I know that I know nothing" necessitates that you know something!
The something that you know is THAT you know nothing.
So if "the starting place of knowledge" is as big of a problem as you claim it to be; if one requires a strategy to obtrain and justify knowledge then the knowledge claim "I know that I know nothing" requires justification!
HOW did you come to know THAT you know nothing?

I'm not completely sure what this means. Could you elaborate?

If one claims that this is Jesus, and Thomas claims that it is not, then this can be verified by the method of Marx, that is, in practice.

You can't. There are no privileged descriptions.
You could claim that this color is red.
You could claim that this color is blue.
Which claim is "truer" ?

Which claim is "truer" ?
what is more consistent with the definition of "red", a dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres.

Potato/potaoh.
All three sentences (below) are definitions for the term "red".
This color is "red".
This color is "red."
A dominant wavelength of approximately 625–740 nanometres is "red".
Which definition is "more consistent"; or "truer"?

Skepdick, I'm not going to get into technical details, see the encyclopedia for definitions.

That's called an appeal to authority.
I am not asking you to get into any technical details - I am asking you what makes one definition better than another definition?
What makes the encycloedia definition better than the definitions below?
Definition 1:
This color is "red".
Definition 2:
This color is "red."
If you can't answer this question then why do you reject my premise? There are no privileged descriptions/definitions!

there are "privileged", scientific definitions.
