Given humanity's current psychological state, war is inevitable.

But there is hope provided we realize the below in the near future;

Freud has in a sense given us our charge as citizens of the 21st Century.
We must help to forge the bonds of eros among our fellow humans, while increasing the power of our intelligence to channel our instinctual drives.
If we thought through how these two commitments might be enforced in our daily action, each of us would find an agenda for a lifetime.

As I had proposed in the Ethical Section, we need to recognize the existence of objective moral facts [verified and justified scientifically], the moral mechanisms in the brain and process them via a moral FSK to develop the individual's moral competence.

To be effective, we have to involve the neurosciences, genetics, genomics, and whatever is advanced knowledge to achieve the intended results.

Perfection is an impossibility in Reality, i.e. empirical reality.

It is more like ..
... advanced knowledge to enable to evolve naturally [not breed] to be as near as possible toward the impossible-perfect-human - this drive continuous improvements.

Note 10,000 years ago, the humans then would have thought it would take 'perfect' human beings to be able to reach the Moon. Now that we have reached the Moon we are very far from 'perfection' and there is still so much room for humans to be better humans.

Technological and scientific progress doesn't necessarily mean that humans are perfect nor is it an indication of how morally or ethically advanced the human species is. The far future of mankind will resemble a scene from Star Wars, with all it's inter-galactic battles, it's sophisticated weaponry, the Death Star and it's Darth Vaders.
To assume that as we progress technologically we would also improve in our ability to get along without conflict is being naive or unrealistic.
