Anti-psychotics

Has there ever been a philosopher worth his salt who was on anti-psychotics? Those things destroy your brain.
For the discussion of all things philosophical.

I got Olanzapine in the cupboard. Occasionaly if I'm feeling a bit 'wired' I'll take half or a quater of a tablet to get a decent sleep.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 6:55 pm Has there ever been a philosopher worth his salt who was on anti-psychotics? Those things destroy your brain.
There is no "might" about it dumb arse!vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 7:34 pm And you don't think this just might have a conncection to your 'close and personal relationship' with 'god' and all the 'miracles' you have witnessed first hand?
So Information Technology is your field then? I suppose IT is pretty lucrative for those who are skilled in that area.attofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 7:39 pmThere is no "might" about it dumb arse!vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 7:34 pm And you don't think this just might have a conncection to your 'close and personal relationship' with 'god' and all the 'miracles' you have witnessed first hand?
God works in mysterious ways - IT basically set me up financially to work on what IT wants me to do (ART)...and who am I to argue?![]()
Info Tech isn't particularly lucrative as most work is tech support. Even programming as a project lead ain't great money, I guess it depends who you are working for. Mind you, in 2000 so 22yrs ago the company I worked for were charging $90\hr for my ad-hoc tech support!vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 8:56 pmSo Information Technology is your field then? Yes, it's surprising how easy it is to convince someone that you are insane when you are actually insaneattofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:36 pmInfo Tech isn't particularly lucrative as most work is tech support. A year ago I did some contract work for a guy hooking up solar inverters to the net - $300 to config a 5G wifi -(20mins) very nice.
Anyway, when I stated IT I was talking about GOD - the ultimate info system!! REAL_IT_Y - ...I'm just not comfortable in calling God HE - since God, and from experience, appears to be EVERYTHING (Pantheism\Panetheism.) Honestly, it is like we are in an IT system, God being an AI.
So it seems I hacked the God system, and the key was Christ...renders God divine imo.
What was really lucrative was a shrink writing a report stating that I am deluded etc etc..(ya know, pretty much what you muppets keep telling me) - you'd be surprised how easy it is to convince someone you are insane- I then sent that report to the companies that I had insurance with (I didn't even know I was insured but our lovely Govt apparently had made our Super contr. companies provide insurance cover (ya know, in case you go insane).
As Arthur Daley would say, it was a nice little earner

Nutters always think they are 'playing' their psychiatristsattofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 10:29 pm..am I? ...am I really?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 10:23 pm Yes, it's surprising how easy it is to convince someone that you are insane when you are actually insane
I'm thinking I might scan the paperwork that details the level of my insanity and post it here, it is hilarious.
Sure, I'm insane...there is no God and if there is, "HE" wouldn't bother talking to Brian.![]()
Yes, I tried stelazine once experimentally and it made me very sleepy.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Thu Nov 10, 2022 6:55 pm Has there ever been a philosopher worth his salt who was on anti-psychotics? Those things destroy your brain.
I wasn't 'playing' the psychiatrists. I merely told the exact truth stemming from 1997 - a truth nobody unless experienced in it, will believe (GOD). One only needs to state ' hey, i hear a voice from some bloke that told me his a sage' - boom, you are deluded. There is NO consideration of event sychronicities etc..such as hearing a voice state "tonight bad luck" then that night someone beats the proverbial shit out of me with a baseball bat.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 11:58 pmNutters always think they are 'playing' their psychiatristsattofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 10:29 pm..am I? ...am I really?vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 10:23 pm Yes, it's surprising how easy it is to convince someone that you are insane when you are actually insane

Psychiatrists aren't as stupid as you think. Bloody nutter. They should never have closed down the loony bins.

Yep, that's convincingly 'normal'. I take back everything I saidattofishpi wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 12:19 amI wasn't 'playing' the psychiatrists. I guess I was deluded when God forced me to quit IT to do art, and I then stated I can't afford to support myself, how about some money -then the next day $4500 was deposited into my bank account trans title: BT Portfolio (BT is my initials DO_U_BT )
Ya, all bollocks in my head with my brain farting at me..ffs.
...and let's not forget this 'hallucination' when I bought a Snickers chocolate bar (after foolishly eating from The Tree of Know_Ledge ..again)

I agree! It's a ploy by all great artists to convince the untalented and all merely educated functionaries they haven't got what it takes. A spice of the irrational operates as a catalyst of creativity to create a hierarchy high above a collective of the barely talented. It must be amusing to go tete-a-tete with a shrink especially when he or she is as much analyzed as their patient. Sadly, the rest of us are only here as Philosophy Forum inmates repeating the same shit over and over again.attofishpi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:36 pm [- you'd be surprised how easy it is to convince someone you are insane-
That's the point...it ain't normal! Actually knowing GOD to exist rather than belief is NOT normal ffs.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 12:21 am Yep, that's convincingly 'normal'. I take back everything I said![]()
