The Great Divide

The UN Human Rights charter is still an excellent document, but does it appear to skate over the Great Divide of today. The individual and Community.
The rights of people as autonomous individuals as against rights for societies of mutually responsible people.
That is setting aside the virtual lack of rights in dictatorships.
Britain is in danger of following the USA in setting individual freedom against corporate responsibility,.
One wing is tending to reduce Christianity to the mere 10 Commandments which is a fair basis for creating a minimally cohesive society. Law and order may be had in a totalitarian state, as well as more 'free' and socially responsible states and communities.
Genuine Christianity brings in more moral conduct.
That is not to say that other religions do not have altruist content.
In any case one value is conditioned by others. All Rights are conditioned by others. Such that freedom of religion is conditioned by all the other Rights which have to be accepted, or modified logically.
In a long standing debate about abortion. It is absurd to set freedom to choose against prohibition. In a moral society abortion must take account of the rights of a developing foetus and human being.

- The UN knows the real meaning of “Climate Change.”

- Climate Change assumes that the activities of industrialized nations have caused weather changes that adversely affect more “primitive,” third-word countries.

- The UN's real meaning of Climate Change requires industrialized nations to pay reparations to the UN, for the UN to distribute the booty to the rest of the world in the form of handouts, according to need.

- That’s the basis of the carbon credit scheme which basically proclaims: What you are doing is causing bad weather that causes me to suffer, so show me the money, Honey, because everyone says it's twue, so twue, and if you say it's not twue then you are guilty of spreading disinformation. The world has been indoctrinated and primed to justifiably throw you in jail for this offense of spreading.

- Note: The UN exempts the activities of China from this dynamic.

- The divide is between these kool-aid drinkers, and sanity.

- Industrialized nations are the seed corn for the undeveloped world, and everyone knows what happens if you gobble up the seed corn. Next year there's no more corn to plant, and then there's nothing left to gobble but each other.

- For instance, gobble up big pharma and there is no seed corn left to develop new medicines. For instance, gobble up big oil and there is no seed corn to discover new energy sources. The government sure ain't gonna do it. The government just takes from the rich and almost rich, and gives to itself, and no matter how much the gubberment gets it never seems to have enough. It always wants more.

Walker doesn't get it. Or he gets it and pretends he doesn't. I hope it's the former, but I fear it's the latter.

Did you enjoy your Red Wave, dude?

A fella once said that after his BB gun heard the tune on this here other link, it became a Kalashnikov. That fella probably is experiencing one of four fates.
- He is serving in the military.
- He died in the Ukraine.
- He’s hiding in Russia.
- He’s making his way across the ocean to Mexico, where he can walk across the border and disappear in the land of the free, and the home of brave.

The Left Cashes In On The Real Red Wave
By Eileen F. Toplansky
https://www.americanthinker.com/article ... _wave.html

“Indeed, there was a red wave but not the one conservatives had hoped for. It was, however, the continuation of the leftists’, Marxists’, and communists’ eternal obsession to destroy America and obliterate her values—and Ayn Rand predicted it in her 1965 seminal book titled The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution.

“Frighteningly prescient, Rand understood the beginnings of the “intellectual disintegration” that is now front and center in most colleges. Fifty-seven years later, the Left is “cashing in” on its quest for ultimate power.”
