I shall lay out the point in being PC and the point those
who object to PC make....

For identification purposes, I shall also give out my own political
identity for a point of reference...

I am, quite openly a California liberal.. I am as left as Marx, I just don't
feel the system that Marx tried to create is going to work...
(part of the failure from Marx lies in his identification of classes, it clearly
hasn't worked out that way)

so, let us discuss Political Correctness...

as with everything, there is a historical context and a psychological context..
The historical context lies in the society's need to negate some group, or to
marginalized some group to make the rest of that society to feel good about itself
Thus, in America, we have negated groups, marginalized groups like the blacks,
gays, and early American history, we marginalized groups like the Irish, Italians,
the Polish, Jews, with offensive names like Wop, Abe, Paddy, Micks, ****,
Polack, and of course with insults to gays and blacks being Fag and n*****...

but the question comes is this, why this need to insult others?
Why call people derogatory names? It comes from people having
a low self-esteem... if you are secure with yourself, you don't have
a need to insult people or label them..

I have a background with being insulted... I was born with a severe hearing loss,
and in having a hearing loss, I mishear a lot, and thus I have spent most of my life
being insulted, from being called stupid to brain dead to one person claiming
they have more intelligence in their pinky than I have in my whole body...
but that is the curse of being hard of hearing.. you will get insulted for
mishearing things... of course, now days, I have learned to put people
in their place for any type of insult they have because I misheard something...
but that is the basis for this type of insults, people want to feel better
about themselves and labeling and insulting people is just a fast and
easy way to feel better about yourself....

So, political correctness is about not insulting people and calling people
names to feel better about yourself...

what people against political correctness want is to be able to insult
and denigrate others by names like fag, commie, liberal, fat, n*****....
those who oppose PC want to be able to freely and openly insult
anyone they want...
being PC is about holding people accountable for the words/insults
they used to insult others...

Indeed, why should we allow people to be disrespectful and insulting to
entire groups of people, like insulting blacks or gays? who wishes to
defend this widespread and systematic usage of insulting people?

One might say, I have freedom of speech to say what I want....
but that freedom of speech is limited, legally... for example,
shouting fire in a crowded theater or even getting a group of
people together and then making plans to Kill Biden or detonate
a nuclear bomb... if you do so, that is called conspiracy to harm
others... you do not have the right to absolute free speech...

in legal terms, a conspiracy is "making it illegal to intentionally
enter into an agreement with others to commit a crime and
to act in furtherance of this crime......

....furthermore, the crime of murder, (for example) need not
to have occurred for the defendant to be liable for conspiracy
to murder...

so under the law, we don't have absolute freedom of speech,
we cannot say anything that our hearts desire under freedom of
speech clause ... so, does insulting others in terms of race,
creed, color, gender, sexual orientation, or disability reach the
level of a criminal act? No, no it does not.. however, should
insulting people based on race, creed, color, gender... etc
be allowed to be freely expressed? NO... why should we
allow someone to freely insult and denigrate others?

and that is the entire argument against PC... the
ability to freely insult and denigrate others is what those oppose
PC want...

as we cannot do so legally, we do so based on social pressures and
by what has been so misleading called, "cancel culture"
why should people be openly allowed to insult and denigrate
others to make those who insult to feel better about themselves?

Why should I allow others to insult me based on my disability
or any other reason? Why should I stand quietly by and allow others to
openly insult me because I was born with a hearing loss?

That is the basis of PC... to allow people to be treated with dignity
and respect regardless of who they are or what color their skin is or
what religion is or their sexual orientation or their disability....

Interestingly enough, this site has software that automatically
censors' certain words... I wrote out words like n***** and another
word, and they were automatically censored...

this very site practices PC... and so the question becomes to
those who are against PC, to be able to insult without any
consequences, do you favor this site being able to censor you
without your approval?

''Democrats are all fagots"

and according to those opposed to PC, that statement is a legitimate
statement... and yet quite clearly that statement has no positive value,
no affirmative value.. it is a statement made from hate, ignorance
and bigotry... and I personally oppose it for several reasons..
one, it isn't even factually true... millions of democrats are
heterosexual.. to paint a false picture of a political group or
a sexual orientation group is prejudice and bigotry of the
worst kind... and MAGA/GOP are quite happy with such
prejudice and bigotry... for treating people with dignity
and compassion is beyond the pale for the GOP/MAGA party...
another reason for opposing that type of statement,
"democrats are all fags" is that statement has no other purpose
other than to express bigotry and hatred and prejudice..
what value does that statement hold for people other
than hate or bigotry or prejudice?

Someone could be the kindest, most considerate person in the world and not be remotely PC. In fact, I've never encountered a genuine or nice PC person yet, which makes sense, because PC is a collection of unlikeable traits (superficiality, mob-think, judgementalism (ironically), arrogance, conceit, projection and deflection, lack of balance and fairness, self-righteousness, dogmatism, bullying, intolerance...) Actually they are just horrible people who happen to have a fanatical need to be seen as 'nice' by others (with little success) and be part of whatever bandwagon happens to be fashionable at any given time. A bit like Ted Bundy hiding his true nature

John Cleese is 82, which makes him elderly. The elderly are apparently a 'vulnerable group', therefore Sculptor is nothing more than an ageist bigot for using Cleese's advanced age as an insulting weapon--as bad as calling someone a 'black/yellow/brown/indigo/violet bastard'.

If there is ONE group that is GENUINELY, OBJECTIVELY vulnerable it would have to be the elderly.

You have all seen it happen on TV.
The mentalist/hypnotist gathers a group of people on the the stage and chooses a proportion of them from a few questions. A small minority are sent back into the crowd.
He then asks them them to stand on one leg, cluck like a chicken, or fall asleep on command, to hilarious laughter from the audience.

For a great percentage of the people are desperate to obey; they are desperate to accede to the authority figure; desperate to not stand out; desperate to belong to the masses. THey are desperate to absorb whatever delusion offers them the shortest route.

This is the technique employed by Derren Brown, or Donald Trump. It had amazing success with Hitler and continues the thrill the people of North Korea and as we have seen recently with the people of the UK - mostly English and Protestant NI, to a lesser extend Wales and Scotland.

People are manipulable, and once committed find it hard to back away, even when their beloved leader shows himself to be a complete nonce.

Antiwokism and antiPC are just the same. manipulated by the media whose purpose it is to continue to turn the people into a rabid right wing mob to direct attention away from the fact that the power behind the media are continuing to loot the public purse, drive down wages, end working peoples rights, redraw civil and human rights legislation, and increase inequality. This is what is behind the diversion techniques; real issues.
