Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is a statement of the obvious as all meaning is the property of the subject and never the object. What one person finds beautiful might not be so to biology that is different or impaired. One must ask on what basis is there a comparison of the beautiful with the ugly or the beautiful with that of a monstrosity and the answer must be the order/s of your own being reflected back in your minds perception. There are then, qualities that constitute beauty, and the ugly violates those qualities in various degrees. I think art is a celebration of being in all its forms which constitute the beautiful and the degree these qualities are violated determines not only the monstrosity the ugly but how close that object is to non-existence. The vitality and radiance of youth are prime examples, old age slowly undermines beauty and existence. A prime example of a given species/type and how well it represents the perfection of its class is the beautiful and like all beautiful things it displays a radiance in its being. The level of beauty and radiance is a measure of well-being both for the animate and inanimate worlds.

Some deny that [an] objective beauty exists.. could that be because they could never possess it, so denial is the best option -over envy- for they? that car, that guy/girl, that watch, that house, that jewel/s, that life..

Kim Kardashian has reduced her ass(ets), so too much of a good thing isn’t always the best aesthetic, and therefore not deemed beautiful.. too much hip, too much thigh, too much tits, too much ass.. it’s gotta be just right.. just ask any fitness trainer/body sculptor.

A thought, perhaps beauty is not perfection but the finest example of adaptation to one's environment/context both to the natural world and that perhaps of society. Fitness and behavior go hand in hand with structure and form in our adaptations to nature and society. Natural selection on the one count and social judgement on the part of society.
