If two people hate each other are they really friends considering friendship is the sharing of the same interest(s)?

Except friendship doesn't even always require the sharing of interests. The foundations of friendship range from either a) sharing interests b) personal affinity c) affectionate bonds etc.
If two people hate each other, then it's probably because they don't have any of the other fundamentals of friendship and are in conflict at some other level.

I don't know about that, but a double negative is a positive, and mutual enmity seems to be a positive relationship.

Personal affinity must be shared, sharing is required for friendships.
Affectionate bonds are the sharing of liking or likeness.
