History is Forgetting

Self forgetting is the manifestation of history as what becomes historical is that which was forgotten prior; history is the repetition of events as the forgetting of said repetition which paradoxically results in repetition. Nothing is new if everything is forgotten.

I can't say I disagree with this, as it has absolutely no meaning.

I don't know what you mean. Are you giving me some kind of compliment?

That's nice, but you can't blame me for not feeling able to take that for granted. :)

How are you, btw? Keeping well I hope.

Sorry to hear that, and I wish you well in dealing with it, obviously.

I retired last summer, which was great, but now I'm getting bored. Being a senior citizen has its good and bad points. Looking in the mirror is probably the worst. :(

I'm still shockingly young at the age of 62, but getting pissed off with daily aches and pains.
It's all downhill from here on in.

There are three component elements, regarding history's meta (or history's truth); there is the rebooting by daylight, which potentially results in the rebooting of the mind, then there is the general narrative, of general assembly through time, and then there is the politics truth, which is that politics is the real supernatural, for it is the impossibility angle, relating to means and ends not being able to use politics

I am just about 67 and have never enjoyed life more.

Your writings are saturated with your attitude towards life. It does not have to be downhill...that's your choice!

You have a false impression of me.
I'm Mr Hyde on the PN site, and Dr. Jeckle when walking my dog doing netflix and chill.

I'm happy enough but the world is shite, and posting give me the oppo to let off steam.

Perhaps I have mis-judged. And yes the world is what it is, but is there another time-period you believe might have made for a more fulfilling life? I think we are pretty damn lucky to be where we are [despite all the bs going on]. We'll get through this sludge one way or another.

Yes, I think I still hold an optimism for the future. Decent people when quizzed know what needs to happen to make a better world.
So there is always a potential for things to get better.
IN a recent poll on Facebook people were asked if you could travel to any time where would you go and why. Of 100s of replies only I chose the future. Glibly I suggested I'd go to Dr Crusher's Sick Bay to let her rid me of the collection of ailments and diseases of the modern world, and I'd sign on as historical consultant on the crew of the Enterprise.
I doubt we will ever get to space but we could learn to live in the earth for the benefit of all.
Maybe it would take the draconian measure of deleting all the psychopathy genes, and sending the psychos into orbit, or just liquidize them to feed the lions in the zoo. Trouble is that decent people would not consider such an effectively good idea.
