Are our Governments and Drug Cartels the same entities?

Other than Governments, who has the power to run the world’s drugs cartels, and have it’s kingpins to never get caught?

I can think of no one capable of such a feat, other than our own governments.

Which is your government? Which is mine? Those two are very probably not the same entity.
Drug cartels are certainly a response to something some governments have done, and they have certainly grown powerful at the expense of government.

Okay, if you want a serious discussion of drugs, illicit vs prescribed, and the laws regarding the use and distribution of drugs, I'm up for that. If you want a discussion of what particular governments have done to criminalize drug use and distribution and to stop trafficking, I'm less informed, but willing to try. But this 'same entity' nonsense - what's that in aid of?

Quirk's right, they're bedfellows and have been for decades. Shady shit between the cartels and the CIA. Watch season one and two of 'Narcos' if you get a chance.
