When Alan Jonah lets Emma Russell go, after she says "fix" in Godzilla 2019, is it a metaphysical event?

Is Godzilla King of the Monsters a metaphysical entity of sorts? Is it possible, that when Jonah reacts to Emma's words, "I can fix this", as slight as the reaction is, he is nevertheless being a 4th wall intervention, or is being used as one?
