Racism
Race exists and may be taken a part of culture. Not in itself and ethical value but race as part of culture may be considered part of human diversity to be preserved, across the world rather than within countries. It would be a pity if the whole world were in grey conformity. Racism is the use of race as a value as if a particular race is inferior or superior to others. It may be expressed in subtle ways by the use of language to belittle someone or group of people. But to ask what shade of skin, or for that matter colour of hair or eyes a baby will be born with is natural curiosity. Racism may be evinced in the selection of people by race. Deciding that any set of people in an advert for instance, must have a certain mix of races, and physical characteristics. If people are equal then races are equal and should be respected. The problem with ethics today is very often the use of a fashionable value and ignoring others that may balance it. We as individuals and as cultures are equal, and we are also diverse. There are three forms of society, with class or caste indicated by one of them. Random individualism by another. Cultural diversity by the third. it will be a pity if in the matter of skin colour, black were to disappear, as also white, or the long established intermediate colours and their respective cultures.
