the self-fulfilling paradox

When a business asks you to trust them with private information without providing supporting evidence that they can be trusted, they've provided supporting evidence that they shouldn't be trusted.
If you complain about your food, when it comes back you can't trust it hasn't been spit in. Complaining is always a risk, but you automatically lose otherwise.
...another one i can't remember ATM...

Distrust is a self-fulfilling prophecy. So is trust.
What environment you prefer to exist in is entirely up to you.
Personally, I think distrust brings out the worst in people, and after a while the potential cost of obtaining the signal necessary to determine whether to trust you or not is always worth the risk.

you have to know what to trust, and what to believe. can you trust the source and believe what they say.
getting around in capitalism is easy, nothing is of interest unless there is money in it. human nature is similar in that all are seeking fulfillment in what is in their hearts. even if they can't do as they please, they are always seeking the opportunity for that fulfillment.
its not brain science or rocket surgery.
if you don't know what to believe and trust then your expectations will be dashed up against the wall, and disappointment will be your fulfillment.
when it comes to info, forget it, they got it already. anything you do online is done in as though its in the public street. for example, who's managing the "cloud" and there's no real promise from them that they will not use info. you give your info to some company and they automatically back it up in a service like what is called "cloud" did you get a promise for that company's cloud service? there's work arounds for every thing.
