If you were hired as a city planner to combine the benefits of the city and the countryside and to avoid the disadvantages of both, how would you go about it?

First, I’d call for a blue ribbon committee, then I’d set a budget for the committee to work with and a schedule for annual reports.

The Garden City movement created a few examples, but in a completely different time. The Venus Project has never gotten off the ground in a meaningful way. Likewise, places like Auroville and Arcosanti barely hang on with the subsidies given. Yes, i've studied the same things, but i'd like to know what y'all would do to prevent the mistakes of the past, as well as adding your own flavor.

Wait till capitalism, viruses, war and the climate get rid of nine tenths of the humans population.

I've been hoping to forestall that method but i can't get anyone to take eugenics seriously.
