A House Oppressed

A house oppressed cannot stand. Moses knew that; and hence, tried to emancipate his own people. Yet, Moses missed one very oppressive person, himself. Even Jesus, found the urge to oppress his own people to be too enticing, threatening without mercy.

If you wish to be king of the world, emancipate your own people, both from the outside threats and from those within.

Machiavelli knew how to gain power over a state. Maintaining that power requires a great deal more mercy.

Think I'm pulling a fast one? Look at what the Ancient Romans did, making the whole of Italy into citizens. That was the source of their power, more than was the scourging of the rebels. A free person can fight with their own intellect intact. Whereas, a slave is only good for following orders.

The British nation can either fleer and scorn or... The fine can be kind to the mean.
