Evidence shows that a sixth mass extinction is occurring now. Unlike previous mass extinctions, the sixth extinction is due to human actions. Some scientists consider the sixth extinction to have begun with early hominids during the Pleistocene.

Devonian Extinction: 365 million years ago.
Permian-triassic Extinction: 250 million years ago.
Triassic-jurassic Extinction: 210 million years ago.

Humans are an anti-natural, omnicidal, unsustainable species. We have triggered abrupt, extreme, lethal and irreversible climate collapse. This will result in biological annihilation, including human extinction, before 2035, most likely. There is nothing to be done, except to accept our fate. Our species is a parasitic plague. We have killed our host. Permafrost and Methane leaking into the atmosphere. Mother nature is bleeding out.

We can predict the future by observing the present by remembering the past.

Seems like a fair summary to me. 2035 seems a little pessimistic but close enough for jazz.

Oddly enough, I blame the philosophy department.

I don't disagree with DAM's analysis, I just think she could have presented it a bit more cheerfully, that's all.

Humans have only two jobs to do on this planet.
1: to make a mess.
2: to clean up the made mess.

Everything else is nature’s way.

Those that make a mess should clean up after themselves. Or they could stop creating more mess makers, and consciously opt for voluntary extinction. That would be the logical sensible thing to do. Why lay your eggs in a nest of shit when you don’t have to?

Luxin..I never implied the planet will die, I said humanity will die.

Killing our host is cutting off our link, connection to the life support system that is the planet. I’m sure we cannot kill the planet, but it sure as heck can kill us.
