Sex is biology. Only biologists get to decide what it means.
Gender is social. Everyone gets to decide what it means.
Sexual identity is psychological. You get to decide what it means for you.

a trans-man recently reported that, after bein' exposed to tear gas during a
peaceful protest he had a period
why?
cuz
he is actually a mentally disordered
she
sexual identity is rooted in the flesh: joe may think he's a gal, may dress like a gal, may surgically mutilate himself to affect the appearance of a gal but he's still a guy
Bruce Jenner is a mentally ill man, not a healthy woman

It's an identity. You can choose it in relation to biological sex, in opposition to biological sex, or be asexual. It's a valid identity each way.

Bloody rubbish. Gender and sex mean the same thing. Why do you think people talk about the gender of their newborn?
Wankers have turned 'gender' into a political term.

If you mean persona, then: sure.
Joe can pretend to be Josephine. He may actually, sadly, believe he is Josephine.
if you mean distinctiveness, then: nope.
Joe (a man) can never actually be Josephine (a woman).

it was close
if laura had made landfall 50 miles east of where she did, we woulda been in deep shit
as it was, folks on both sides of the texas-louisiana border got kicked hard
here, lots of debris but little in the way of loss (life or property)

But … but … this was not the intention, so can we really blame all those parents responsible for the welfare of their children who approved the treatments?
Of course we can ... not that it will prevent future stupidity.

Bullshit. Sex and gender mean the same thing. Wanky wokies have simply hijacked the word for their own moronic and dangerous agenda.

If they meant the same thing we wouldn't need two words.

Right. Because two words can't possibly have the same meaning. Ever heard of two people having 'gender' together? Or 'sex' being used in a grammatical sense, the way 'gender' is? Both words have other ways in which you can 'use' them, but that doesn't mean they can't have the same meaning when used in the same way. Ever heard people being asked what gender their baby is? I rather doubt if the radiographer gives 'gender fluid' as the answer, or 'we won't know until the child decides for 'zirself'. The word 'gender' has been around for a lot longer than the 'social construct' bullshit has.

Yes, but gender differences has long been analyzed and exemplified.
Venus represents the feminine and mars represents the masculine. The moon is often associated with the feminine. As the song goes:
"Moon river, wider than a mile
I'm crossin' you in style some day
Old dream maker, you heartbreaker
Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbow's end, waitin' 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend, Moon River, and me"
Who is your huckleberry friend?
That's your subconscious.

The Sun is bound to the center of the solar system while the moon waxes and wains while wandering in the night sky.

How would this follow? Are you saying we have reason to think that "gender" is entirely unrelated to biological sex? You'll have to show that argument, because it's not evident.
Sexual identity is psychological. You get to decide what it means for you.
Contradictory. If "sex" is biological, then so is "sexual identity."
