I met the devil and saw it was God in disguise.

The devil is the 'prod' that gets us to return to the Light of Truth. The devil is the "human" who believes himself to better than God. Lucifer was God's favorite angel, but he wanted to Be God and so he came 'the world' and lives as if he can be the possessor of God's Light. He wants to be the Power of God as 'man'
The devil is the false authority, the images we worship, those who put themselves on pedestals and lie about "who we are' those who do not "speak the Truth" the God is our Light and Life and is the One and Only Authority we can honestly Love and Trust In.
The devil is the belief in 'another' other than God Being All in All. .but the devil is a good thing serving the purppose of turning us back to God and back to the Trust in Our Divine Self, Here As I (as you)
The devils plays his part well and does his part in the play very well.

As we be lifted up our whole is lifted is up.

It gets even worse if you tie Jesus to his genocidal father, in terms of moral teachings.

Nothing ever happened in a fictional story believed to be real by no believer, as the believer is also the story arising here from pure nothingness the screen of consciousness...so go ahead and add on as many beliefs as you wish, because there is no story without the belief in that story.
Every belief is just more paint on the blank screen. Imagination is the blank canvas on which I paint my dreams.
All IS HIS STORY.
Nothing ever happened in history except the MEMORY appearing NOW ..as it imprints upon this immediate ever present pure blank slate of consciousness which is timeless and never moved an inch. His story is an appearance of a living virtual reality for His entertainment only.
All is a dream dreamt by no one.

If that were true, you would have to explain why the religious world is homophobic and misogynous. Denying the reality of what is is hardly a good way to think. It leads nowhere and allows good people to not fight for the right of others.
Better to live by the Golden Rule.

No one denies the external reality...they the awakened ones know it for what it really is that’s all..
You can’t save others, you can only save yourself...and when you save yourself you save others.
