Subject matters are never dogmatic or stubborn. Only human beings are. Therefore, what is commonly said, that religion is dogmatic, is false. Religion can no more be dogmatic than (modern experimental) science. Only people can be dogmatic about the subject matter and its connected phenomena.
Dogma, if it mean stubbornness, is very unlike what the word has mostly meant for the last thousands of years. Which is the best view of the most educated understood to need defense against the stupid, ignorant and insane. In the older sense, science is dogmatic as practiced in the universities and defended by the scholars of each field as formerly was the theological science in the time when the Catholics had supervision over the corporations or mystical bodies, the many scholars turned or "versed" into one, called uni-versities.
