Open Minded
To be open minded is to be open to new ideas and study their holistic and altruistic ethical validity. It is not to accept anything in a state of mental vacuity and social anomie. It is a mark of the latter that anyone who disagrees with an ultra-liberal person is automatically described as phobic.

All such qualitative notions fall victims to (mis)interpretation and insufficient quantification.
The 'open-minded' liberal/'closed minded' conservative distinction can be reduced to a triviality.
Both camps want progress. They just want it at different speeds.
Conservatives say things are changing too quickly.
Liberals say things are changing too slowly.
Liberals say the conservatives are phobic.
Conservatives say the progressives are reckless.
