So says the Pakistani immigrant.Arising_uk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 5:23 am And the moral of this tale, be nice to your immigrants as that may well be you or yours one day.
Although I'm a bit puzzled as it said there was no immigration in 1968 but the Turks and Pakistani's were there in the 60's working the oil.
Also it said there was no immigration but then she talked about immigration?
It seems you need to pull your head out of your ass, and actually listen to what is said because you understood exactly nothing of what was said!Dubious wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 9:51 pm What's special about it. It's been declared one way or another by theists incessantly and continues to be so in different versions on the same theme. Catastrophe is coming, of that there is no doubt and it doesn't have to be sudden, it can be gradual and manifest itself in multiple ways simultaneously. Whatever the outcome all this religious BS has nothing to do with it.
No irony. Everyone is a colonist if you go back far enough, but unfortunately humans don't live for very long and tend to be concerned with how events affect them and their country in the here and now and relatively recent history; with the place that they think of as home.

So shove your dreary non-sequitur.
Do you even know what irony means? You do realise that eveyone has to be born somewhere don't you? It's not something you can very well choose. I'm hardly responsible for your ratbag of an empire. I'm not even English. It's what your emotional and historical connection to that place is that determines your identity. I'm pretty sure that all those muslims, Indians, South Africans (religious maniacs), Chinese and everything else in between who have emigrated en masse to NZ still retain their sense of identity to their home country. They must do, because they don't assimilate, preferring to keep to their own culture. The weird thing is that they say they prefer it to their own country (duh!), presumably because it's not like their own country, meaning that the people and environment are pleasanter to be around. Humans are idiots. They see something nice, want a piece of it, then before you know it all the pieces have gone and it's not there any more. What they saw as 'abundant resources, safety, high standard of living, and clean air' was only that way because of the small population, and a population that had a tradition of fairness and standing up for the underdog. Import a large number of people who don't have the same values and politics and what do you have left? Something that more resembles what they wanted to get away from in the first place. Duh!Arising_uk wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2019 12:35 amNo irony. Did you not watch the prophecy or are you just sniffing my arse for some reason?
Bye the bye what did the Pakistanis have to do with the price of beans?
You think I would watch that crap?Arising_uk wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2019 12:35 amNo irony. Sure do.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Do you even know what irony means? ...
That's not how it works. First generation immigrants generally gather together for security, comfort and support it's the second generation who normally start assimilating. You do realise that eveyone has to be born somewhere don't you? Germany are part of NATO.Correction: leave muslims out of that equation. They are refugees who had no choice but to leave their own countries because your POS country, along with its bed-buddy the US has systematically destroyed their countries over the past couple of decades. And apparently you have the bare-faced nerve to take barely 'a handful' of the refugees you have created. I think Germany has taken the bulk of them and it wasn't even part of the evil invasion that created Isis and destroyed the ME.
I wasn't alive then.Arising_uk wrote: ↑Sun Apr 21, 2019 2:04 amSure do.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Do you even know what irony means? ...

Bye the bye did your colonial ancestors assimilate with the natives?
