I was wrong about chess AI

I have falsely claimed that chess was linear logic, when at expert lvl it's actually kinda abstract as it uses "scenarios" to enhance the AI so it won't have to spend time calculating everything from scratch, so it can use "known outcomes" of a given situation.

Andy Kasparov had reasoned that if a chess AI uses these scenarios then a human should too, calling it "advanced chess" which made the human players able to win about 52% over AI.

I watched the chess part of the clip and scanned through the rest. Thanks Hex. I didn’t know of this development.

Most interesting. The evidence has again changed, this time to indicate that the right move is not a product of unimaginative number crunching.
