Heraclitus called war the Father of All because strife pushes change forwards.

Unfortunately with our current technology infantacidal annihilation comes to mind.

The problem with Asian non-violence philosophies is expressed when your opponent is more than happy to defeat you, using violence and the threat of violence to do so.
