What are your pet peeves?

_______

“What are your pet peeves” is the title of a thread that someone created in what is now a long defunct forum that I participated in.

I thought it might be fun to resurrect it here (it could also be viewed as a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for those who are oblivious of their actions ).

I’ll start this off by stating that one of my pet peeves has to do with people blowing their noses in restaurants.

The sound of that slimy sludge slithering into a napkin whilst I’m eating eggs - is beyond disgusting.

I also have a problem with people who publicly eject the contents of their nostrils directly from nose-to-ground in full view of anyone unfortunate enough to be walking by at the moment.

Then there’s the problem of males who have a handkerchief in their back pocket that they use to blow their noses on.

Imagine carrying a rag full of boogers around with you all day.

(I guess there’s a snot theme in my peeve list :D)

So, what are your pet peeves?

One of mine is that I can't buy a pair of jeans with a back pocket big enough to get a box of tissues in it.

Pet peeves becoming parents to little peevers.
Aha, aha.

Some folks heaven forbid not me
Get all peeved off by a homily
Too bored to wonder why
We annoy the sound
And not the other way around

A box of tissues? In your case, a roll of toilet paper!

There's enough room in my case for a box and a roll, it's my pockets that are the problem.

They say you can never really domesticate a wild peeve.

Sometimes the consequences are tragic, which of course you know.
They go whacky, like mosquito-crazed caribou in Canada.

For future reference, both surgeons and peeve owners learn by practice,
so your peeve's tragedy does contribute to mankind's knowledge of peeve behavior, if shared,
and the best surgeons are gray.
