You're a typical westerner gadflying around and sticking to nothing.
All mouth and no trousers in this respect.
Return to your faith and put it in your Lord.

Organized Labor is my lord. And I still work towards increasing my lords presence here on this earthly hell.

Yadda Yadda
You'd drop it in an instant if you thought you could get your 'experience' back and become a guru.
Return to your faith Bill, its lack is sorely showing in your life.

You do not speak like any Sufi I have ever known. I do not see you emanating love and speaking of connection... rather you thrash around in darkness, projecting fear and hatred, and elevating yourself.
If you've ever studied Sufism, then either you didn't get it, or something happened after that to blow your mind.
Continually associating yourself with impressive quotes and respectable people and spiritual ideas does not make YOU that. You demonstrate who you are with all of your inconsistencies and extremes.

I did study and practice Sufism under a trained, recognized Sufi when I was quite young.
Sufi's are just regular people...

Who isn't?
Are we not speaking of a philosophy? And were you not associating yourself with that philosophy by creating this thread and saying that you had been a student of it? What is your purpose for identifying yourself with a philosophy/path that you do not demonstrate in anything else you do?
Is it something you admire and want to get back to? Why not say that instead of posturing about your association with it?
Superficial posturing has no substance -- and considering how much you seem to rely on it for your identity -- well, it's no wonder you are so hungry.

No. I do not want to be associated with the Sufi's again. I am beyond that.
I think I have one more play left. I don't know. Perhaps it's too late.
I am separated from everything I am comfortable with. My internal path is all new to me.
My intellect isn't driving me. My intuition has already been developed.
Not sure where I am at. Uncertain on how to move.

You obviously never even got that flitterbug.

And there's the problem, playing at.
I am separated from everything I am comfortable with. My internal path is all new to me.
My intellect isn't driving me. My intuition has already been developed.
Not sure where I am at. Uncertain on how to move..

Try using this 'intuition' barring that develop your intellect.

I've been through that,... in my teens.
It was good. I have the greatest respect for certified Sufi members.
Learned a lot.
I have nothing negative to say about Universal Sufism.

Bill you went through a process of looking for yourself.
Sufism is about the love of who you are and who you are is love.
You do not have to subscribe to love. You are love. Love is everything here right now, love is all allowing without judgement or preference. It just is. It never leaves. No thing can leave love. Love is not a thing. Love is everything and no thing.
Love doesn’t come to you. Love cannot come to you. Love never went away. You are the one who went away, so you go to Love. And that's what you were doing in your teens when you looked at Sufism. You were looking for yourself in your apparent separation. Only the apparent separated one searches for itself. Love never searches itself, it's already here completely fulfilled as this divine alive presence of being shared by every other creature. Love looking outside itself is like trying to find love in an image which is like a mirage in the desert where only fleeting happiness is found. True love is being able to stand alone without want or desire. Only when you are empty can you be full filled. When you are not ..God rushes in. That's the only real true love.Nature abhors a vacuum.
''I searched for God and only found myself. I searched for myself and found only God.'' Sufi proverb
PS. I really like you Bill. Your energy is magnetic to this one here.
