I just watched a clip on Youtube and, yes, it is pretty sick. I got some consolation from the thought that most of these kids will get their comeuppance when they grow up to look like their mothers.

I thought that too. Americans don't age well--all that junk food. Those 'moms' pour diabetes-inducing sugar down their kids' throats to make them 'high' on stage. It's just child abuse. Imagine growing up with the name 'sparkal' or 'Alycesaundra'. They obviously take pride in being illiterate. There is a sort of horrified morbid fascination watching them though. Apparently it started with 'healthy baby' shows, but morphed into the monster it is now (a bit like how those girls end up morphing into their 'moms' lol).

This kind of thing seems to have taken over from the trend of giving their kids surnames where their christian names should be. Taylor, Jackson etc. That particular fashion seems to have found it's way over to the UK, now.

So what?

You want us to go back to naming them after the saints?

Here too. Americanisation ('dumbing'-down and insanifying) of the planet is a depressing reality. I think they have those sick 'child pageants' in Australia too now, but at least people protest about it over there.

At least they are actually names, and don't announce to the world 'I am an illiterate, moronic low-life'. There are also plenty of names that aren't saints' names. There might even be saint names in that list, but it's impossible to tell.

'Issues'. LOL. What the fuck does that mean? Sounds like an 'Americanism' to me.

A randomly-sellected collection of letters does not a 'name' make, so shove your relatisim and apathy.

You are probably with Laurie on this one. It's funny though.

Well according to boob you are a man with a girl's name, so I suppose it would hit a nerve. And the reason those morons give their children those obnoxious names is because they see them as a future meal-ticket and they will do whatever it takes to get the kid noticed. I don't know about you, but I think it's wrong to exploit children.
