Should the 1st Amendment be repealed

Stumbled across this article. It was apparently also featured on Fox News and although I really don't like Fox News it is maybe an article worth debating. Should people be free under the law to say what they want even if it may be offensive to some? Or should offensive speech be prohibited by law? Should any type of speech be prohibited by law? Treasonous speech perhaps?
NOTE: The article appears to have the stats wrong, in the video it said that in under 60 minutes the petitioner got 50 signatures not 60 signatures in less than an hour. But either way it seems that at least some students at Yale University (one of the most prestigious schools in the US) aren't too fond of the 1st amendment.

It took political satirist Ami Horowitz less than one hour to get 60 signatures from Yale University students signing a “petition” that calls for the repeal of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
You know, the one that guarantees freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom to assemble. No biggie.
“I think it’s really awesome that you’re out here,” one student told Horowitz. Said another: “I think this is fantastic, I absolutely agree …” Others chimed in with “love it” and similar expressions of support.
Horowitz told Fox News even he was shocked by the results be obtained.
. . .
