For one reason or another the West is becoming more Fascist. The Corporation is at one with Government, the people treated as enemy. False flag operations. A film and television culture more sophisticated and powerful than Communist and Nazi propaganda put together. Yet in art, if we try to depict the now with image of the hate filled now, it is read as more pain. And in fact adds and speeds up the destruction. Fuels it. It is easier to depict pain and destruction than it's opposite. If I attempt, as I do, to depict the potentiality in a bright light going forward (positive), in the current scene of death and hatred, it comes over as escapism. How to side-step this?
