There are over 300 million guns in my country of 315 million individuals.

Literally ANY person that has the strength to hold a gun – is.

Our FEAR of being attacked is causing us to over react.

Our fear of being killed is killing us.

Our form of Democracy guided by raw capitalism and greed allows gun companies to use fear & the media to form a perfect storm for gun sales and gun promotion.

Each year about 12,000 Americans are killed by Americans.

Each year under 20 Americans are killed by terrorists...

Yet we fear terrorists and terrorism.

We have learned to fear terrorism and terrorist so much that we have given-up, formally, our most prized possession – individual freedom.

We have been beaten by a shadow. The shadow of a concept. A concept whose rationality does not exist in the real world.

The shadow of capitalism, greed & fear.

In the U.S.A. over 20,000 people committe suicide with guns each & every year.

Suicide is the 10th-leading cause of death in America.

More people in my country kill themselves with guns than with all other intentional means combined, including hanging, poisoning or overdose, jumping, or cutting.

About 85 percent of suicide attempts with a firearm end in death.

Drug overdose, the most widely used method in suicide attempts, is fatal in less than 3 percent of cases. Moreover, guns are an irreversible solution to what is often a passing crisis.

Suicidal individuals who take pills or inhale car exhaust or use razors have time to reconsider their actions or summon help. With a firearm, once the trigger is pulled, there’s no turning back.
