Some good comments there. Does this mean American who do understand their rights and the whole point of having a constitution are simply invisible to the general public?

I'm sure that 'pledge' is the reason for America's collective insanity. It's not difficult to brainwash children--just look at its counterpart: Hitler Youth. 'Stand up and and tell us how free you are, or I'll shoot y'all'. The extreme irony is of course lost on the generally cretinous American population.

Because they are Americans - the biggest, toughest, meanest, best armed, most tattooed, most numerous - all the superlatives.
You can't imagine they would mingle with lesser beings?

Oddly enough, the people who refuse to take the oath and stand up for their rights are also Americans. I admire them.
