What's more important, your money or your life?

So which is it?
To me, when I say it out loud, it sounds quite absurd.
I mean, how did we arrive here in the first place?
When was it that we actually decided that our means to power was more important than our very lives that the power serves?
And it seems to beg the question: Are we in fact the dumbest animal on the planet?
"So what's the SOB up about now," you may ask?
Read the following and tell me what you think about it:
I would prefer that your response was born of a rational human perspective,
not that of an irrational money machine, but then that's up to you.
I wouldn't want to stack the deck, let the cards fall as they may.
